8 & 9: Resilience Lessons from My 80-Year-Old Spiritual Mentor (Pt. 1 of 2)
2020 has been quite a year, hasn't it? If you're interested in some lessons on resilience, listen in on my interview with my 80-year old spiritual mentor.
Penny Ticehurst is an artist whose son Greg became a paraplegic as a result of a motorcycle accident 18 years ago. Penny moved from New Jersey to the SF Bay Area to help take care of Greg, who passed away last year. Despite all this, Penny is one of the most optimistic and positive people I know. Penny shares life advice on how to find joy in the midst of tragedy. In Part 1, Penny discusses how she became an artist, art therapy, careers, how she came to know God, parenting, and coping with her son Greg's accident. In Part 2, Penny talks about how they got through Greg's health issues before his death, advice for maintaining a 58-year marriage, and how to get free therapy through the mail.
